I am a seasoned Product Designer with 10+ years of experience in delivering web-based SaaS tools for complex operations. I have worked on cross-functional teams, across various industries such as astronomy, mining, law, telecommunications, smart cities, agriculture, and others.

The impact of my work in numbers

I have been trusted by different high impact clients. From US$ 1.5 billion scientific initiatives, to government departments, to international multimillion food exporters. My work has even played an important role in the strategic scientific exchange between France and Chile.

I have designed tools that have helped different kinds of experts to make a difference in their industries. By making better-informed decisions, reacting faster, and giving visibility to key data they couldn't see before.

Methodology and collaboration

My methodology

I have collaborated on over 15 projects in different capacities, with varying timelines, resources, clients and types of users. This has led me to effectively define which tools and methodologies will answer better to the needs of the user and the restrictions of the project.

My three pillars for designing a successful tool are:

Ethnography

Observation of the user's in their own environment as well as face-to-face interviewing.

Situational Awareness

Presenting relevant information in a cohesive way to help users to better perceive, understand, and respond to situations.

Participative Design

Ensuring a better design by involving end-users, developers, and project managers in the design process.

Team work

Empathy is essential to create a successful product/tool. And empathy starts from within the team, by having design and development working side by side, we both win!

I count with technical expertise that helps me evaluate potential constraints like data availability or technologies needed.
They become more empathetic with the users.

How do they win?

They don’t have to implement designs that can be a coding nightmare.
Sometimes they also get front-end code from me!

I’m proud to say, that by involving the developers in the design process, we’ve built better tools, as they’re more empathetic towards the user’s needs and understand design decisions better.
